Its in the Mistakes

The little mistakes of screen printing make a screen print so much more.

Summer Love

I am still in the game. Look out for me these next few seasons as I have been planning and creating some amazing pieces. Throughout my busy days designing at work you have to find time to do the things you love to do. It brings me joy to make my own tees, with my own statements and ideas. I will continue to work hard to keep this afloat.

NERO tee

I was asked to do a Nero tee a while back. The idea was to use their stage set up as the basis behind the tee. Unfortunately I never heard back from them but the design is too cool not to share so I would like to show it off.

Impressions

The people you choose to surround yourself with determine the type of person you will become, or in this case, what type of a designer.

We made a lasting impression on the Graphic Design department and Graduating class of SCAD Atlanta this year. Every year my school publishes a book full of the best graphic design work of that years senior class. This year my class mates and best friends are covering the pages.

I will continue to speak highly of the people who influenced me and grew me into the designer that I am today.
I will continue to surround myself with people like all of you.

Hanna

One of the better, overlooked movies of 2011. Directed by Joe Wright about a 16 year old girl with heightened skills through a military project. The entire soundtrack written by the Chemical Brothers melds perfectly with the cinematography of the film, I suggest getting your eyes on this movie if you haven't already.

Here is a little free time designing for a secondary poster, after watching this for the 2nd time.

End Of An Era

SCAD GRDS 2012 from Dinesh Dave on Vimeo.

I have been incredibly fortunate to have shared a college experience with these fine people. I have learned so much in my career due to surrounding myself with the friends and professors I have had in school at SCAD Atlanta. I firmly believe that I was built up into the person/designer that I am today simply by the company that I chose to keep while in these defining moments in my life. Each friend and professor I have had taught me something new about myself and my abilities that I thank them for.

Their presence has left a lasting impression on my life and mine on theirs. I cannot thank these people enough for teaching me to embrace my passion and to hone in on my skills and focus them into an unstoppable entity.
If I could suggest anything to an up and coming designer or a young individual, it is simply this, do not take for granted the company you choose to keep. Those people you are surrounded by may influence your future.

You will not be forgotten.

John Frames

I love my job, I cant complain about anything at all. Today me and my design team took a little tour of the Portland Art Museum. We ventured upstairs to see the work of John Frames. A Californian artist who creates these immaculately detailed and creepy figurines. Most Stand about 8 or so inches tall and are hand carved and hand dressed by him and his wife. Created from found objects and wood he carves and creates every small joint in their legs, hands as well having small glass eyeballs that look indefinitely real. Each character and scene supposedly comes from his dreams. In his videos he goes into detail about the work and its process to create.

If you have a moment get here http://johnframesculpture.com/ and look at the rest, I was taken back by seeing these sculptures up close.

Keep e'm Coming.

Keeping my Identity skills rolling. I met a couple of new clients on the street corner, literally.
Two entrepreneurs in portland on 21st street selling sausages off the hand made grill they custom built.

I am fortunate enough to take on their branding and identity, its going to be an exciting month.

Eric Beatty

Eric Beatty. A designer, a business lead, an innovator, a laugh.

Proud to highlight this guys work. There is a funny story behind me and Eric's friendship. He is partly responsible for me getting my opportunity to intern at Nike HQ last summer. Designer friends are the best.

Mr. Beatty just recently launched his personal portfolio to attract potential employers, and I'm sure he will attract more than just that. The work is fantastic and speaks for itself. It was a true honor to work along side Eric during our college career.

This project in particular leaves me speechless. A mock project rebranding an up and coming airline with a new way of thinking about booking air travel. Its revolutionary, simple, beautifully executed. The posters speak directly to their target, and would be a brilliant campaign.

Good luck to you Mr. Beatty in all of your future endeavors.
Thank you for the experience we shared.
