Designer and Bolton Wanderes fan Rick Barnes has brought together two of his biggest passions - 

football and typography - to produce a stunning book entitled 'Football Type'

Serves as my inspiration to make my own set.

Its official, Saturdays are for friendly bouts in a game most of us aren't familar in. However, winning is winning.

Time to design ourselves some kits.

Bijan Berahimi and Chris Burnett invited several of us designer types to come downtown and fuck around with a risograph printer and thats exactly what we did. Now its all bundled up in a little collaborative zine that is available for sale or just a peek down at museumofcontemporarycraft.org

First off big ups to all the people who are putting on events for Design Week Pdx. 

I happened to make it out a panel interview last night for what was titled "The Future of Retail." 

The event was held at Ziba is a design firm NW portland is a very forward thinking and innovative 

company that deals with retail spaces, commercial space, and product on a regular basis. which was 

very evident from the look of their work space.  

However the general consensus from my group was that the entire presentation and panel of the future of

retail, was still set in the present. The speakers did however validate the importance of a brick and mortar

physical experience they did not discuss in detail thoughts and methods of improving this experience, 

or ways that the retail space coincides with an online and social environment.

Post 1 = internet rant. Very fitting. 

Step up Design Week Pdx, 3 days left   

There are some updates in my life I would like to share, I have a new job at an interactive agency called AKQA working on lots of new exciting things for Nike Inc. I have updated my portfolio and will be continuing to populate it with new work. This is also the relaunch of my news feed with more curated posts about design ideologies and related experiences in my day to day. 

The unfortunate announcement is that I will soon be releasing the final season of 'the editions' this winter, and will begin a new shop based on my current interests and creative endeavors. Be sure to keep up in order to receive these updates. I am excited as I continue to see things progressing around me.

Woke Up to Something Beautiful

Moving Mountains 3rd and self-titled album is on the horizon. Their youtube channel through "triple crown records" shows some beautifully shot video of their in studio sessions.

My favorite of which is the song .... "Hands"
This album blends their earlier Post Rock style with their new American rock sound. Watching this band grow through their music has truly been great.
